Hema Malini present Synergy ICF - Delhi Hema Malini needs no introduction. She's the "Dream Girl" of Bollywood and has starred in many a hit films, alongside other brilliant actors like Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachan and her husband, the legendary Dharmendra. However, despite all her time on screen, she has always had dancing at the core of her being, and even her debut film had her on as a dancer/supporting actress (in a Tamil movie, "Ithu Sathiyam" in 1963). Daughter to Jaya Chakravarti, Hema Malini has always looked to her mother for inspiration and strength, who always supported her throughout her career, be in dance, films or politics. But it was not just her daughter that Jaya supported. Jaya also went on to introduce and help several other younglings in the film of film and arts. It was in the pursuit of this passion of her mother that Hema decided to start Jaya Smriti. This project, which was started in 2006, serves to create a stage for young artists from all over India, who wish to make careers out of Music and Dance. This initiative also serves as a tribute to her mother, Jaya Chakravarti. Since then, the event has garnered quite a bit of attention within the youth of the nation and is now seen as one of the most happening annual events in Mumbai. To push things further, Hema Malini has now introduced SYNERGY - An International Cultural Festival, to promote art and culture on a global scale and also to foster friendship between India and its foreign counterparts. This is its year of inception. Sukhishvili, the Georgian National Ballet, had been established in the year 1945, Nino Ramishvili and Iliko Sukhishvili. Currently, the third generation of the founding family carries the tradition. Sukhishvili has been performed at famous stages, such as the Albert Hall, The Coliseum, The Metropolitan Opera, among others. Till date, it is the only folk troupe to have performed at Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, Italy. When Hema Malini witnessed their ballet, on her visit to Tbilisi in Georgia, she saw that they had a similar passion as hers. This project aims to deliver a tsunami of cultural exchange between Georgia and India, as both nations have an ancient and rich history of culture. At this performance, the public will be treated with not only the Georgian artists but also three different traditional dance styles of India (Pung Cholom from Manipur, Bharatnatyam and Khatak). The SYNERGY fest of Indo-Georgian Dance Fusion will take part in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. It’s happening in Delhi on 10th September at the Siri Fort Auditorium. It’s a free event and anyone can attend it. Date: 10th September 2017 Time: 6:30 pm Where: Siri Fort Auditorium, Siri Institutional Area, Asian Games Village Complex, Gautam Nagar New Delhi, Delhi (State) 110049 Explore More: https://www.delhipedia.com/Home/Category/Event

Punchliners Mirchi LOL Comedy Show Live in Delhi 03.09.2017 On the 3rd of September, some of the best in the Stand-Up Comedy circle in India will be performing live at the NCUI Auditorium & Convention Centre in South Delhi. The line up includes Atul Khatri, Daniel Fernandes, Raghav Mandava, Vipul Goyal, Jaspreet Singh and Aakash Gupta. Here is a little about each of them. Atul Khatri is a successful business man but because of the monotony of his work, he wished for an alternative career path. At first, he played with the idea of bartending and DJing but didn't do either. Instead, he took to posting jokes on his Facebook which later led to him getting into Stand Up comedy. He gained fame when he won the "CEO's Got Talent" award from FremantleMedia. With over 400 shows under his belt, he's got more than enough experience to keep you laughing. Daniel Fernandes, the Mumbai based comedian, needs no introduction. He's often seen performing at Canvas Laugh Club, The Comedy Store, Blue Frog and High Spirits (Pune). He's also done a lot of collaboration work with Gursimran Khamba, Aditi Mittal, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Sundeep Rao, Radhika Vaz, Abish Mathew and Kanan Gill. Raghav Mandava is your Delhi NCR local buzz creator. His original style has given him a unique identity. Critics expect a lot from this Gurgaon man. Vipul Goyal has widespread fame and currently plays the protagonist of the most successful Indian web-series "Humorously Yours". He is also the only Indian comedian who has a dedicated show of his own, with 50 million plus views on the videos that he has posted on social media platforms. Jaspreet Singh is brilliant in observational comedy. Most of his work revolves around the amount of stupidity he encounters in his daily life. From conversations with his land lady to meeting strangers at airports. His point of view will keep you laughing your ass off. Aakash Gupta is a young one. At 22 years of age, he is often questioned when trying to enter the bars where he is supposed to perform. His boyish face and short height have people confused and usually take him for a school kid. Aakash will have you suffocating with laughter as he talks about his Grandma, his dad's ancient Maruti and the rather interesting advertisements that he comes across during train journeys.
